Happy Thursday everyone! I rather like Thursdays because they mean you're one step closer to the weekend. And this particular Thursday I'm jumping on the fun and popular bandwagon of "Awkward and Awesome" posts. A list of all things awkward or embarrassing from your week along with a list of all things awesome or exciting. Cause let's be honest....everyone's got a little awkwardness and awesomeness going on in their lives in way or another :)
Awkward:
-getting my hair sucked into the end of the blowdryer.
-I went to shake someones hand at church and they just waved at me.....?....awkward.
-pulling into a parking space and then coming out of the store and realizing I'm sticking like three feet out. Hello huge suburban bumper.
-paying for a piece of lemon bread with a gift card at Starbucks and the girl tells me "Alright, you still owe 31 cents then." and I give her a dime....since when did dimes have a 31 cent value in my mind? "Umm, 31 cents." "Oh whoops. Hold on I have to run all the way back to my table to grab my gigantic zipper pouch with 10 dollars worth of change in it to give you two more dimes and a penny. Oh by the way, did I mention I apparently can't count today?"
-having a dry, flaking, irritated eyelid. Yeah and it doesn't like coverup either. But luckily it's the eye that hides under my bangs most of the time.
-trying to stand up on a barstool in heels to put dishes away

Awesome:
-my amazing friend gave me a polaroid camera! And in order for me to tell you just how stoked I am I'll just have to do a whole separate post on it sometime.
-all this magical snow, adore!
-super bowl Sunday. The one football game I watch a year... that is if you consider sitting on pintrest most of the time and taking an hour break for Downton Abbey "watching the game".
-that black and white star sweater I got from kohl's. I really kinda love it.
-adorable little boy falling asleep on my lap at the Awana I volunteer at.
-the combination of bagels, cream cheese, and honey. Crazy good.
-reading Psalm 59:9 "You are my strength; I wait for you to rescue me, for you, O God, are my place of safety."
-this Disney Pixar short film....you know the one I'm talking about! The one that makes your heart melt and gives you the urge to throw paper airplanes out the window to someone special...yes, THAT one.

At AWANA some one was dropping off their child at the nursery and when they introduced themselves instead of saying my name back I just nod and say "Alright!" How stupid was that? XD

umm, ok the more I read your blog or see your instagrams make me want to meet you SO bad! I feel like we have so much in common--haha! loved this post. :) yeah, ditto on the car parking..I'm AWFUL at it. I always feel so embaressed. and haha me too on super bowl sunday! AHAHAH! The person waving at you while you go to shake their hand made me laugh. ahhahah. How awkward! And the starbucks 31 cents thing made me chuckle too. We all have those moments though!
